considered a cozy alt, but not a private account (that would be @maeagain )
if you don’t know me, my bio is under my main at @mae ; im disabled, chronically ill and like photography, trains and sometimes even touch a computer or two for work or fun
@ww unfortunately nextcloud doesn't really support this on linux afaict - tbf that'd be a pain to implement (i could imagine a horrid cursed fuse filesystem adapter) but i edit on windows anyways
@ww hm, i usually sync my photos to the cloud and then remove them off of my local disk, at least for anything that isn't on my phone - do they have a decent desktop tool to sync from local folders? one thing i really like about nextcloud on windows is that you can choose to keep certain files on disk and that it uses the windows api for cloud storage to allow programs to download files on demand
@ww yeah, it am considering something new for my photos, too - but migrating about 700 gib of data will be a pain and i want it in my hands, not with some cloud provider
